Summary of the Case:
In the early night of the 7 th of May, the Alarm Phone was alerted by a worried relative to a group of around 65 people, including 45 men 15 women and 5 children, who had arrived on the island of Lesvos in Greece. We immediately informed authorities, Frontex and NGOs about that group. We could reach the people who told us that 3 of them were in really bad health condition. At 11:50 we got the confirmation by the Eressos Antissa police department that Mytilini police sent a bus to take them, and that they have been brought to the camp.

Border police patrols
While the exact location of patrols is of course constantly changing, this line indicates the approximate boundary routinely patrolled by border guards’ naval assets. In the open sea, it usually correspond to the outer extent of the contiguous zone, the area in which “State may exercise the control necessary to prevent infringement of its customs, fiscal, immigration or sanitary laws” (UNCLOS, art. 33).
