Summary of the Case:
In the evening of the 7th of May, the Alarm Phone received an alert from a woman in a boat asking for help. She said that they were a group of 14 people in a boat close to the coast of Chios. We immediately informed authorities, Frontex and NGOs about that group and their location. At 03:30 of the 8th of may we got the confirmation by the Turkish coast guard that they found the boat around midnight and brought back the group to Türkiye.

  • Border police patrols
     
    While the exact location of patrols is of course constantly changing, this line indicates the approximate boundary routinely patrolled by border guards’ naval assets.
