Summary of the Case:
In the early afternoon of the 7th of January, the Alarm Phone was alerted by a group of 24 people, including 12 children, 6 men and 6 women, two of the pregnant, who had arrived on the island of Lesvos in Greece. We were informed that some of them were injured and in need of urgent medical assistance. We sent an email to inform Greek authorities, Frontex and NGOs on the island of the group’s situation and location, informing them that the people needed medical attention and wanted to claim asylum in Greece. We also publish their situation on Twitter. In the afternoon we learned that the group had been found by the police and brought to the camp.

Border police patrols
While the exact location of patrols is of course constantly changing, this line indicates the approximate boundary routinely patrolled by border guards’ naval assets.
