Summary of the Case:

In the late night of the 25th of January, the Alarm Phone was called by a group of 23 people, who had arrived on the island of Chios in Greece. We were informed that some of them were injured and in need of urgent medical assistance.
At 00:18 CET on the 26th of January we sent an email to inform Greek authorities, Frontex and NGOs on the island of the group’s situation and location, informing them that the people needed medical attention and wanted to claim asylum in Greece. Shortly after we confirmed with the local police that they received and acknowledged our Email.
In the morning one of the group told us that they had split up with a group of 9 people and had lost contact with the rest of the group.
At 07:39 CET we informed the authorities and NGOs vie Email about the situation.
At 10:33 CET we learned from the Chios Police that the group of 9 had been found and were being brought to the camp, but the other 14 people were still missing. We could confirm this with the people from the group of 9 a little later when they had arrived in the camp. In the early afternoon, we finally learned from the group that the other 14 people had also arrived at the camp.
