Summary of the case: On Monday the 26th of August 2024, the Alarm Phone shift team was alerted to a group of 57 travellers in distress in the Central Mediterranean Sea. They had left from Tripoli the previous morning. We managed to get their GPS position and immediately alerted the relevant search and rescue authorities, relaying all the information we had. We were not able to reach the travellers again and do not know what happened to this boat.

  • Border police patrols
