Summary of the Case:
On 10 November at 20:50h CET our shiftteam got note about a boat arrived on Strongyli island and that the travellers need help. At 21:15h CET the Alarm Phone informed the Greek coastguard and the local port police and also sent an email to the authorities. At 22:33h they confirmed they had found 6 adults and one child and will bring them to Kastellorizo island.

Border police patrols
While the exact location of patrols is of course constantly changing, this line indicates the approximate boundary routinely patrolled by border guards’ naval assets. In the open sea, it usually correspond to the outer extent of the contiguous zone, the area in which “State may exercise the control necessary to prevent infringement of its customs, fiscal, immigration or sanitary laws” (UNCLOS, art. 33).
